چکیده

The experimental investigation of the effects O2 injection on magnetized Ar plasma flow in linear device was conducted by using measurement laser induced fluorescence (LIF) with electric probes. LIF based ion transition from 3d4F7/2 metastable level to 4p4D5/2 at a wavelength 668.61 nm. In addition, analysis velocity distribution functions (IVDFs) involved detection light emitted 4s4P3/2 level, which had 442.72 For comprehensive intricate interaction between and behavior flow, oxygen injected into plasma, O2/Ar ratio ranged 0% 14% while maintaining constant pressure 2 mTorr. Zeeman splitting IVDFs clearly observable for pure due 800 G as high magnetic field strength. split form disappeared small amount 3.5%. intensity is agreement tendency density reduction ions charge transfer, quenching, neutralization plasma. results show that temperature are insignificant when 0%–14%, contrast large change electron temperature.

Measurement of Ion Flow Velocity Field Associated with Plasma Hole Using Laser Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy

“Plasma hole” is a singular vortex spontaneously formed in an electron cyclotron resonance plasma. So far the ion flow velocity field associated with the plasma hole has been measured with a directional Langmuir probe (DLP). Here we present the first result of measuring azimuthal and radial flow velocity profiles of the plasma hole in an argon plasma using a laser induced fluorescence (LIF) Dop...

Laser Induced Fluorescence Measurement of Ion Temperatures in Argon Flux Ropes

This paper describes the measurements of ion temperatures in an argon plasma experiment. Three flux ropes were created in a quiet background plasma, and the method of laser induced fluorescence was used to map temperature gradients of the three flux ropes at different times. Ion temperatures were observed in the 1 6 eV range, and the heat diffused due to the gyro-radius of argon ions.

Time-resolved measurement of copper emission spectrum excited by a low-pressure argon laser-induced plasma.

A laser-induced plasma generated with a pulsed Nd:YAG laser under evacuated conditions has complicated structures both temporally and spatially. The time-resolved spectra of copper in three different wavelength regions were observed in detail for elucidating the excitation mechanisms of many atomic/ionic copper emission lines. The emission intensities of copper emission lines, measured in a tim...

Microscale Laser-Induced Fluorescence Method for Non-Intrusive Temperature Measurement

Ratiometric Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) Thermometry is applied for temperature measurements in a ‘T’ junction, using microscale visualization methods. Rhodamine B (RhB) and Rhodamine 110 (Rh110) are used as the temperature-dependent and temperature-independent dye, respectively. The temperature responses of the two dyes were carefully measured for different concentrations. A novel normaliz...

Measurement of hydroxyl radicals in plasma pencil by laser induced fluorescence

Laser induced fluorescence was used for measurement of concentration of hydroxyl (OH) radicals in the plasma pencil, which is a radiofrequency plasma jet operated in argon at atmospheric pressure. The problematic of the rotational energy transfer, spectral overlap of the laser line and hydroxyl absorption line and saturation effects were treated. The method was calibrated by Rayleigh scattering...
